Mortice Door Bolts
If a Burglar was to break-in to your home say via a kitchen window a cheap, effective way to prevent access to the rest of the house would be to fit a mortice door bolt. The bolt could be fitted with the keyhole only on the hallway side meaning from the kitchen there was no way to unlock it without damaging the door or frame which would cost noise and time.
Door bolts are also a good way of improving back door security when fitted as a pair one to the top and another to the bottom area of the timber door.
The bolts are available in a white, brass, satin or polished chrome finish so can match the existing ironmongery on a door.
